La Taverna del Gufo

Taverna del Gufo is located inside a small country villa. Stefi and Toio have renovated a part of the house transforming it into a restaurant with lovely rooms with wooden floors and walls of different colors. Each space has been furnished by reusing the old family furniture such as cupboards, sideboards and cabinets. In two rooms, Stefi and Toio have installed two ceramic stoves from Castellamonte that in winter offer a very special warmth. Around the restaurant there is an enclosed garden with dehors for those who want to eat outdoors in summer. The cuisine is typically homemade with traditional Piedmontese and local dishes, revisited in a seasonal and local key. The raw materials that Stefi and Toio use in the kitchen come from small producers in the area or from Slow Food Presidia and the menus are dictated by the rhythms of the seasons. As for the wine list, Taverna del Gufo mainly values local labels, with particular attention to small quality productions. Taverna del Gufo is mentioned in the Slow Food Osterie guide.
