The D’Oria family, in the world of catering since 1989, after a careful renovation of a historic building of the fourteenth century, in 2008 opened the Trattoria D’Oria in front of the picturesque walls of the medieval Ricetto of Candelo. The internal rooms with brick vaults and the outdoor area in the shade of the walls for the summer season, ensure a pleasant stay. With the motto “Never strawberries in December”, Francesco uses only quality and seasonal products in the kitchen. The food list varies daily with traditional Piedmontese dishes but also classic preparations of Italian regional cuisine. Fresh pastas and desserts of his own production, Carnaroli DOP rice from Baraggia, excellent cold cuts and local cheeses are present daily in the menu. Wine list very attentive to the wines of Biella and together with other selected Italian labels. Francesco D’Oria is a member of Slow Food’s Alliance of Chefs, a pact between chefs and small producers to promote good, fair and clean local food.
