Cascina Eremiti – Azienda Agricola Andrea Antoniotti

Cascina Eremiti in San Giuseppe di Casto (Andorno) has hosted the Antoniotti farm for years. In a typical rural building of the Biella valleys we produce genuine and quality products only from organic cattle breeding. The cows raised are of the Pezzata rossa di Oropa breed and graze freely from March to November in the pastures of the Cervo Valley and, from May to October, stay in the alpine pastures of the nearby Valsessera. In winter the cows are fed with organic hay produced by the company on its own land fertilized only with aged manure. The whole experience of savoir faire has been handed down from grandparents to the new generations. In the dairy annexed to the farmhouse, cheeses are produced and offered directly in the farm shop together with butchered meat and cold cuts. At Cascina degli Eremiti we produce fresh raw milk cheeses (primo sale, robiola, stracchino, tomini in roll, tomini dell’Eremita) and aged cheeses (maccagno, toma, flavored tomette, skimmed toma), yogurt, ricotta, butter, all with milk from organic farming. Besides dairy products, the company also produces meat (beef and pork), cold cuts, cotechini, sausages, salami, coppa, mocetta, bacon and lard.

The farm store is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 8a.m. to 1p.m. and from 3.30p.m. to 8p.m.; on Sundays from 8a.m. to 1p.m. and on Tuesdays from 4p.m. to 7p.m., but meat is not available on that day. In Piedicavallo, the store is open Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 1pm.
